There are 12 golf courses within a half hours drive from Ord House including the famous championship courses of Royal Dornoch and Nairn. 
Two of the most prolific salmon rivers in Scotland flow either side of Ord House. There are also nearby trout lochs where fishing can be done from either a boat or the bank. 
Only a 15 minute drive away and one is on the shores of Loch Ness. There are boat trips, a museum to persuade the sceptical of the existance of "Nessie" and the famous Urquhart castle to visit.
