John and Eliza Allen, your hosts, welcome you to The Ord House Hotel their 17th Century home situated in Muir of Ord near Inverness the Highland Capital. The private "Gun Room" bar has an open fire and is a great place to mull over the day with a reviving drink. The main sitting room and hall also have open fires and comfortable chairs in which to relax. The sportsman is ideally suited to Ord House. All bedrooms are individually furnished to a high standard in keeping with the age of the house. They are spacious and all have views over the gardens. There is also a resident ghost which can be heard occasionally at night walking the corridors - in fact she has been sighted in one of the bedrooms sitting on the end of the bed. Her favourite pastime is to remove pictures which she dislikes from the walls propping them up, unbroken against the walls. |
Dining Options:The restaurant is an elegant room on the 1st floor of the house and has been awarded a Red Rosette from the AA. The views are over the gardens and pond providing a tranquil setting in which to enjoy an exceptional Scottish dinner. Meals Available:Breakfast (Continental) |
